Indian Music - The Tabla

Yesterday Y5/6C started to learn the Tabla with music teacher Dr Joel.

Olympic Storyteller

Y5/6C are lucky enough to have an Olympic storyteller teaching them Indian music.  Dr Joel tells the story of the Olympics through his music.  In his performances he makes connections between Music, Art, sport and nature.

We look forward to learning more about the Olympics and Indian music with Dr Joel.

London 2012 Olympic Project

With 100 days to go to the opening of the London 2012 Olympics, Y5/6C have begun their topic. The children started by brainstorming what they already knew and thought of questions they wanted to find out in the project.

Titanic 100th Anniversary Performance

The special concert took place during the Easter holidays, with the St Joseph's Choir performing as part of a huge performance of 500 people. Well done to Mrs. Marsh and all the children, for again being amazing ambassadors for St. Joseph's! Also thank you to parents for supporting the school choir.

Here is a link to an article in the Evening Post. Can you spot any St. Joe's pupils?
