YEAR SIX VISIT TO SWINDON STEAM MUSEUM

Today we went back in time to further explore what it was like for children in World War Two. We were able to experience what it was like squashed in an air raid shelter and explore some of the activities that people had to do in order to keep safe.  We were evacuated by train, leaving our families behind, to go to the safety of the countryside. Then, we  had to hope that nice people would allow us in their home.

It was a very enjoyable and informative day and helped our topic come alive.

Heroes topic

This term Y5C have begun their new topic - Heroes.

We began by brainstorming what we already know heroes.  We went on to think about what makes a hero and what we could do to become heroes.
