Investigating micro organisms in year six

We used fresh yeast to make bread rolls, giving enough time to allow the yeast to grow in the dough before we shaped them, cooked them and ate them.

Reception using their new prayer jar

In a collective worship we discussed following Jesus and doing kind things. The discussion of prayer came up. We decided together it would be nice to be able to put our prayers somewhere like they do in other classes. Being in reception can make it a little difficult to write our prayers down, so we all now have our own prayer sticks. We say our prayer with our prayer stick and then place it in our prayer jar.

Reception decorating.

Mati and Daisha noticed our playhouse was looking a bit sad. We discussed how we could brighten it up. Paint was the children's choice so paint the house we did! Julia and Meaghan then wanted to join in so they painted the inside. Rupert decided we needed signs to let people know about the wet paint and he independently wrote them. Great teamwork guys!!
