Goodbye to the school blog

Unfortunately after 9 fantastic years we have been asked to stop the school blog.  A new one is being created on the new school website.  We will keep the blog open to enable friends and family to look back at those happy times.  Thank you to everyone who contributed and particularly to Mr Condon who set it up all those years ago.

Raising money for Shelter

Y5C are raising money for Shelter (The housing and homeless charity).

http://england.shelter.org.uk/

As part of our project 'There's no place like home'  we have thought about ways to raise money.  We are selling yoyos, jumpies, trolls, planes and bookmarks with all the profit going to the charity.  These items are being sold at playtimes in class Y5C.

Carol singing for charity at Cabot Circus.

Y6 and some choir members from Y3-5 went to Cabot circus today to sing Christmas carols. We sang to raise money for the choir charity : Ronald Macdonald House- a charity which offers a 'home away from home' for the families of children receiving care at the Children's hospital. The choir raise money every year for this charity and we are very pleased to have continued this tradition again this year. In total we raised £161 in one hour! Well done to all the singers and a big thank you for all the support we received from parents who came to watch, as well as past members of staff. Can't wait to sing next year!
