In PE we decided to try this game out. The game was very difficult, especially keeping the ball up using only the knees, hips and elbows. It was great fun and thankfully no one was sacrificed for a game lost!

Playing an Aztec ball game
Y5C have been studying the Aztecs and Mayans as part of their Mexcellent
project. We found out about an Aztec ball game called tlachtli. The aim
of the game was to get the ball through one of the two hoops on either
side of a court. The players were not allowed to hit the ball with their
hands or feet. They could use only their knees, hips and elbows. The
losing team were sacrificed!
