Bristol Primary Schools Swimming Competition!

St Josephs should be very proud of  the 15 children who volunteered to represent St Josephs in a special swimming competition today at Horfield Leisure Centre. All of the children did amazingly! They were a real credit to school and all cheered one another on and supported one another brilliantly! The children competed in different individual races of butterfly, breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke.  Some raced 25m and other 50m.  And Milly (Y6), Jake (Y6), Nile (Y6) and Ruby (Y3) also represented St Joes in 2 relay races. It was also the first time many of the children had ever competed in an official swimming competition and they were competing against all primary schools across Bristol.
We're still awaiting to receive official results through from the organisers to find out which children made it through to the finals but all of the children did fantastically! Keep an eye on the blog for the results and more photos of the event! But in the meantime ask any of the following children to tell you more about the competition- Aaron, Chloe, Ruby, Hannah, Charles, Salvatore, Harvey, Lena, Hannah, Angus, Caitlin, Emily, Jake, Ashley and Nile. Thank you to all those parents and adults that helped and came to support too!
