Today is a special day because it is Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of Lent. To mark this occasion we had a special Key stage 1 assembly whilst the Key Stage 2 classes went to church to join in with the parish Mass.
During our assembly, all the key stage 1 children (and teachers) had their foreheads marked with ash by Mr Condon and Mrs Ford. You can still see the mark on mine!
I look forward to hearing what people will be giving up for Lent.

Thanks Mr Sherwin.
I spoke to many children later in the day who felt very strongly about what they might do to better themselves over lent.
