Ice is nice

Today the reception class found some ice on the top of the water in the water box. All the children had a chance to touch the ice and see how it felt. The ice felt cold, wet and slippery. "It looks like glass for windows." said one of the children. Another child explained that we get ice when it is really cold and it melts into water when it gets hot.
