Puppet Show with a bit extra!

This morning Reception and Year 1 classes were entertained by Mr Brown, a puppeteer. Year 4/5J were there too, watching the performance and observing how the infants enjoyed the show. Lots of fun and laughter was had by all the children. They particularly enjoyed joining in with Farmer Giles, trying to keep control of Daisy the cow! These pictures show how much the infants became involved.

After the infants had gone back to class, Mr Brown showed Y4/5J how a puppet show works. He also showed us lots of different types of puppets, how he made them and how he manipulated them. It was all very interesting. As well as this, Mr Brown has made some different example suggestions for puppets that our class could make later this term. He has left them with us and is looking forward to seeing what we make. This is part of our Funnybones topic in which we are writing plays and devising puppet shows.
It was a fabulous morning with so much for us to learn. Thank you very much PTFA for funding this exciting show.
