In this special assembly, Islamic teacher Imam Waqar Nawaz talked to the children about the Hajj, which is the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This comes before the celebration of the three day global festival of Eid al-Adha.
It's great to be building links with the local Muslim comminity and learning about each others faiths. We look forward to welcoming Imam Nawaz to our school again later this term, to talk to the older children about what beliefs and values our faiths share.
