New Arrivals!

At 7.15 this morning, Mrs Ford met some members of her class...

On Monday 10 eggs came in our class. Then on Wednesday, just 3 minutes before we went home, 1 of them hatched! At the end of the day we asked our Mums and Dads to look at the egg that hatched. On Wednesday night all of them hatched. When we came to school the next morning all of us were overjoyed and excited about seeing them. We all looked at them and then Mrs Ford took the lid off .Then she took the eggs out so we had a better view. Then she closed the lid and we took turns looking at the chicks. When we finished we all sat on the carpet.

On Monday, Mr.Ogg gave Year 2 some chicken eggs. On Wednesday there was a little crack in an egg. Then at the end of the day there was an even bigger crack and it hatched! Then on Thursday the children were overjoyed because all the chicks had hatched. On Friday Year 2 are going to put the chicks in the Bruda Box. The Bruda Box is were the chicks go when they are big . In the box there is a red light that keeps them warm. The children are allowed to give them small food like pear, apple and maybe rice. Some other classes are seeing the eggs too. Year 2 are caring for the chicks very carefully and quietly.
