In God's Family we love, grow and Learn

Y4J have been looking at our school's mission statement and what it means. We all wrote a guide to help us and then compiled all the best suggestions into one for the whole class. Maybe we can all follow it.

'Together in God's family

we love, grow and learn'

A step-by-step guide

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is proud of its mission statement, Together in God’s family we love, grow and learn. In God’s family we have to work hard and love one another. We don’t have to look like God, we have to be like God. This guide will help you become a better person and our school community will benefit.

· Tell the teacher if someone annoys you instead of fighting back

· Make our school a loving community. Show respect. Grow up as friends.

· Ignore distractions and listen to what you should be listening to

· Make God happy by showing everyone respect

· Make new friends by being kind

· Take responsibility for your actions

· Help other people by letting them play

· You need teamwork. Be cooperative and work together with your partner

· Listen to others and be polite to other people

· Care for each other – if you see someone hurt, help them

· Learn with each other

· Be kind to everyone by including people in our games

If you follow all of these you would have followed the school’s mission statement. You should feel proud and confident about coming to this wonderful school.
